LOUIS VUITTON 2013 ‘Pallas Monogram Quetsche’ Shoulder Bag – SOLD

French for the Damson Plum, “Quetsche” describes the rich dark purple leather peek-a-boo zip-top along the upper ridge of the bag. Louis Vuitton’s signature canvas comprises the body, while the plum leather slides deep down both front and back, adding two exterior wide open pockets. The secured double-zipped frame opens to reveal matching “quetsche” suede lining, with three interior open pockets. While the founder of Givenchy, Hubert de Givenchy, passed away at the age of 91 this week, his legacy lives on through his world-renowned luxury fashion-house. First made famous by collaborating with Audrey Hepburn in the 1950’s, designing the dress she wore in “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”, and then continuing his own inspiring approach to elegant style; he has been a coveted name by all who love fashion.

This modern piece is the named the “Shark Tooth” for its articulated turn-key clasp, and is edgy both in its dangerous inspiration, but also in its architectural shape. The yummy caramel-colored calfskin leather is as perfectly soft as it is structured. The turn-key flap-top opens to reveal black suede lining, with both a zipped and open pocket along the back side of the interior. Like new, with tags and dust bag. This small structured tote is visually interesting with the combination of both a darker coral grained leather for the main panels at the front and back, and a softer red-orange leather used for side panels. The top of purse is left open with one small snap tab that closes opening at center. The interior is designed with two main compartments that are separated with a zippered pocket center divider.
