CHANEL 2005 Limited Edition Grey Crinkled Calfskin ‘Lady Braid Shopper Tote’

A deluxe winter tote, this elephant grey crinkled calfskin shoulder bag is the quintessential must-have of our blog this week.  The “Lady Braid” style refers to the gunmetal chain woven throughout a thick leather braided shoulder strap; not only a lux look, but added comfort as well.  Diamond quilting is stitched throughout the puffed leather, in what looks and feels like a sporty puffer jacket, but with the edgy elegance modern-day Chanel is known for.  The front and back are seamed like an English satchel, with dark silver logo grommets, and the sides are perfectly folded and crossed with a dark silver CC.  A front zip pocket adds convenience, and the zip top closure opens to reveal black trademark canvas with an additional zipped pocket.   Size 15″ [W] x 11″ [H] x 5″ [D].  A 2005 limited edition, this fabulous bag originally retailed approximately $2,800, our price is $1,800.

 

 

GIVENCHY Black Leather ‘Small Antigona Satchel’ – SOLD – 

Striking in structure, this black leather satchel by Givenchy is powerful in its stateliness but femininely curved and perfect in its simplicity.  A great working bag: bossy without being brazen, polite without loosing attitude, and completely functional.  The large silver zipper pull opens to reveal a black canvas-lined interior with a zipped and two open pockets.  A removable shoulder strap hangs 13 inches from the shoulder, and the bag is size 11″ [W] x 9″ [H] x 6.5″ [D].  In new condition, with dust bag.  The “Small Antigona Satchel” originally retailed for $2,280, our price is $1,300.  SOLD

 

 

PRADA Dark Navy Leather Accordion Shoulder Tote – SOLD

Another bag with professional attitude, but slightly more playful, this deep inky navy soft crinkled calfskin shoulder tote is not only an intriguingly neutral color, but a perfectly practical and stylish working accessory.  The top handled tote has a single snap closure, and opens to reveal a tonal trademark canvas interior, with zipper pocket inside.  The sides and base of this beautiful bag unsnap and extend for even more room.  In great condition.  Size 14″ [W] x 11″ [H] x 3″ [D], but can extend to 6″ [D].  Priced at $599. Remember that 1985 fragrance by Calvin Klein?  While these are from McQueen’s 2018 Collection, they have throw-back 80’s appeal.  With their embroidered red lipstick and rhinestone bling, the buckled vamp is actually hiding a Velcro connection, making them decidedly influenced by the decade.  And let’s not forget, they are entirely black velvet!  The white flatform sole keeps them sporty, and the upper is for the seductive skater chick in all of us.   Like new, size 8 (European 38).  The “Obsession” sneakers originally retailed for $1,112, our price is $399. CHANEL 2013 Grey Lambskin Flap Purse – SOLD

We love the soft structure and unique color of this flap purse from Chanel’s 2013 season.  Crafted out of a distressed lambskin leather in a dusty blue-grey tone; a unique color that will be an unexpected neutral for you all year round.  This distressed leather creates a soft and pliable material that will nestle easily right along the body without feeling too stiff.  Interior is smartly designed with an accordion style opening that gives easy access to the two main compartments, each lined in canvas with one zippered interior pocket.  The silver chain and leather strap can be worn under the shoulder with the chains doubled up, or can hang lower along the hip with a single strap.  Finished with a silver CC turn lock front clasp and quilted panels along the front flap and base of purse.  Measures 12″ [W] x 9″ [H] x 5″ [D] with a 10.5″ double strap and 19″ single strap drop.  In great condition, sold with original box.  Retailed for $3,400.  Priced at $2,400. LOUIS VUITTON 2017 Boysenberry Patent “Tote Miroir” 

Bring a shiny jewel tone color into your wardrobe with this stunning satchel in a rich boysenberry patent leather.  Louis Vuitton has been designing purses with a more subtle branding in the past few years, and we think those designs make for a unique and luxurious statement.  The traditional brown monogram logo is used for the top handles and removable shoulder strap, creating a designer contrast to this style.  A large embossed LV rests on the purse’s front left corner and a gold medallion logo charm can tuck discretely into a pocket on right side.  Interior is accessed via a gold double zippered top and includes two brown monogram pockets and one berry canvas pocket, fully lined in canvas.  Finished with gold feet on the base to protect the bag.  Measures 12.25″ [W] x 8.5″ [H] x 5″ [D] with a 16″ strap drop.  In excellent condition, sold with original shopping bag, protective dustbag and polishing cloth.  Currently retails for $2,270.  Priced at $1,700.  

 

 

LOUIS VUITTON 1998 Black Epi Leather “Alma PM w/Strap” – SOLD

The legend of the Alma purse dates back all the way to the early 1900’s.  It’s origins date back to the era where clients started to need a larger personal purse to organize their clean and dirty linens on the long journey of Trans-Atlantic Steamer Boats.  This inspired a larger purse that had a full zippered top to keep any of your belongings discreet during this extended trip new to society.  In 1992, the Alma officially became the style we know today, and has been one of the most iconic and popular designs in the company’s history.   We are lucky to have a version crafted out of the always durable Epi leather and with the extra shoulder strap that is sold separately in retailers.  Being crafted out of this leather that holds up to any use and the shoulder strap option, makes this the ultimate version of this iconic satchel.  This purse is from 1998, but shows very little signs of wear, a true testament to the resilience of this leather.  Detailed with gold hard ware and an interior lined in grey suede with one side slit pocket.  Measures 12″ [W] x 9.5″ [W] x 6.5″ [D] with a 22″ maximum shoulder strap drop.  In excellent condition, sold with original protective dustbag, shopping bag and lock and key.  Currently retails for $2,160.  Priced at $949.  SOLD

GUCCI Black “GG Marmont Maltesse Mini Bag” – SOLD

Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele has created some of the most sought after styles, and this compact quilted purse, is certainly a fashion favorite; be quick because this should fly out the door!  Be the lucky girl to get this chevron quilted flap bag with brassy gold hardware on GG front clasp and long chain strap.  Flap opens to a practically designed interior, functioning more like a wallet than a purse.  The accordion shape opens wide to a multitude of credit card slots, small satin lined compartments and one zippered center pocket.  Finished with a quilted GG on back for 360 degree designer details.  Measures 8″ [W] x 5.5″ [H] x 2″ [D] with a 22″ chain strap drop.  In brand new condition, sold with original box and dustbag.  Currently retailing for $1,450.  Priced at $1,000.  SOLD

We are always happy to see a pair of quilted Chanel ballet flats walk in the door; it means one more of our clients will get their new dream shoe!  This pair is crafted out of a rich, dark brown lambskin leather that is quilted along the main body of the foot, with a smooth leather used for the toe cap.  A thin grosgrain ribbon finishes the inner edge that is capped with a leather bow at toe.  French size 39, fit like a size 8 1/2.  Sold with protective dustbag.  Currently retailing for $795.  Priced at $299. GIVENCHY Black Studded “Prue” Booties Size 8 1/2 – SOLD

HERMÈS “Champignons” Brown Silk Scarf – SOLD

We envision this gorgeous scarf framed and hung in an avid cooks kitchen, as the design depicts the beautiful variety of mushrooms that nature gives as her bounty.  A dark brown border serves as the base to the slightly lighter brown background filled with artfully sketched mushroom varieties.  An inner border of moss and lichen growing on branches creates an organic frame to this pattern.  Designed by A Garvani and Françoise De La Perriere in 1959, but due to it’s popularity and intricate design, has been released in a variety of colors throughout the decades.  Measures a 35″ square.  Priced at $229. GIVENCHY Black “Small Pandora Purse” – SOLD – 

Opening this Pandora’s box is not at all terrifying like the one in the fables and legends; but you still will not be able to resist peaking into this one either.  Givenchy’s Pandora purse has been a staple at the French design house since it was first introduced in 2009.  It has become a popular style throughout those years due to it’s easy slouchy shape, the access to interior, and the options for a handheld or cross body style.  This purse we have today is a unique black on black paneling using both a matte finished and shiny pebbled leather that creates for quite a visual stunner.  Top silver zipper opens to the main “box” compartment that is lined in black canvas and includes a zippered side pocket.  Bottom zipper reveals a small slim pocket that is perfect for any small items you may need to find on any given moments notice, we are thinking chap stick and cash!  Measures 10.5″ [W] x 7″ [H] x 6″ [D] with a 22″ handle drop.  Sold with original dust bag.  Retailed for $1,890.  Priced at $799.  SOLD

New York jeweler Michael Bondanza is one of the premiere custom jewelers in a city full of talent.  These huggie style earrings will hold your ear lobes in as much diamond bling as they can handle.  These double hinged hoops clip securely onto the lobe and are crafted out of an 18k yellow gold with a platinum bezel setting for the rows of pave set diamonds.  All 96 diamonds are a round brilliant cut, which is unusual for pave set diamonds, and have a F-G color and VVS clarity.  A total of 2.25 carats adorn the full front of these stunning statement earrings.  Measures 14mm wide and 18.5 mm in length.  Sold with current appraisal valued at $12,000.  Priced at $6,000. HERMÈS “Un Siecle de Courses a Deauville” Silk Scarf – SOLD

Designed to look like a true painting, this gorgeous scarf by Hubert de Watrigant, depicts multiple scenes at the horse races at Deauville-La Touques track in the Normandy region of France.  A mauve eggplant border serves as the frame to this scarf that has a beige background.  Spectators are eagerly watching the race to see if their bet wins along the base, while the rest of the scarf shows moments before and after the race.  Jockeys tending to their horses and French people dressed to the nines to watch the entertainment all mingle together in this autumn scene complete with fall foliage around border.  Measures a 35″ square.  Sold with original box.  Priced at $299. GUCCI “Blinded By Love Tiger Patchwork” Scarf – SOLD

Floral meets fierce animals in this vibrant patchwork silk scarf.  Each panel has its own unique color and patterns that will keep your eyes entertained.  A golden mustard is the first panel with a background of snakes, beetles and florals intertwining.  Next is a black panel with pink, gold and green rose, peony and berry print.  The third panel features an orange background with a wildflower pattern.  Last, but not to be forgotten is the pink backdrop with a row of growling tigers staring straight back at you.  A final touch of a purple side border with pink flowers line one edge.  Measures a 35″ square.  Some small holes are formed in each corner where a brooch was used to pin together.  Sold with original box.  Retailed for $495.  Priced at $199. Platinum and Diamond J Hoop Earrings

We love the shape and design of these classic diamond hoops that feature a J shape that has diamonds set all along the curve for a sparkle at all angles.  A platinum setting that measures 16 mm in length, holds 11 round brilliant cut diamonds in each earring.  Each diamond measures a .045 to .051 carats for a total estimated weight of 1.03 carats.  Diamonds have a VS-SI clarity range and G-H color rating.  Post and backs of earrings are made of 18 k white gold.  Sold with current appraisal valued at $3,475.  Priced at $1,800.

While the founder of Givenchy, Hubert de Givenchy, passed away at the age of 91 this week, his legacy lives on through his world-renowned luxury fashion-house.  First made famous by collaborating with Audrey Hepburn in the 1950’s, designing the dress she wore in “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”, and then continuing his own inspiring approach to elegant style; he has been a coveted name by all who love fashion.
