“Elizabeth Locke draws on a lifelong fascination with the antique jewelry of the Etruscans, Greeks and Romans as she creates her own neo-classical hand-made 19k gold jewelry. She selects every stone and designs every piece herself.”* Today, we have three of her special and coveted pieces:
ELIZABETH LOCKE 19K 16mm Hoop Earrings with Pink and Blue Intaglio Glass Enhancers
A magical pair of earrings, and interchangeable, these 19k hammered yellow gold 16mm huggie hoops can be worn on their own or enhanced with the most brilliant pink or deep navy intaglio glass drops. The glass is carved for the bird-lover with two cranes in each ear. The rose pink intaglio glass has three small pink sapphires trimmed in Locke’s signature granulation. The dark blue glass is trimmed with iolite stones. The hoops on their own retail for $1,425, and the enhancers are $1,950 each. This set totals $5,325 in retail value, but our price is $3,000.
ELIZABETH LOCKE 19K and Smokey Quartz Intaglio Ring, Size 5.75
For the bird-lover, this gorgeous smokey quartz intaglio-carved ring is unique to Elizabeth’s designs, as this piece is a carved stone, instead of the typical glass. The 20mm quartz cabochon is carved with an eagle carrying an olive branch; a symbol of both power and peace. The stone is set in a bezel of 19k hammered yellow gold with four granulated “Triads” even spaced throughout the frame. With box, size 5.75. This regal ring originally retailed for $4,625. Our price is $2,500.
ELIZABETH LOCKE 19K and Labradorite Ring, Size 6
Labradorite is an luminescent stone, know to be “the Light in the Dark”, as it shines from within and is intended to bring the wearer a metaphysical lighted path forward. This piece is deeply golden sea green, and bears a magical shine that glows in all directions. Set in 19k yellow gold, with granulated side trim; the perfect contrast to such a rich stone. Size 6. This etheric piece originally retailed $3,500, our price is $1,800.
“Iconic Pomellato jewels are colorful, rebellious, and unconventional. Founded in 1967, Maison Pomellato has come to represent masterful Italian craftsmanship, profound goldsmith savoir-faire, and jubilantly distinctive designs. Balancing the past with the future, tradition with innovation, rigor with experimentation, and sensuality with audacity, Pomellato design sets itself apart in the world of jewelry, as it has no equal.”**
POMELLATO 18K and ‘London Blue’ Topaz ‘Nudo Ring’, Size 6 – SOLD
Sumptuous and deliciously juicy, this dark aqua-colored “London Blue Topaz” is perfectly square, faceted, and raised from its 18k yellow gold setting. All edges are curved, yet maintain an architectural quality, and the blue stone has a “tiger’s eye” effect as the light moves from top to bottom. The stone measures 13 x 13 mm and is considered their medium size in the “Nudo Collection”. The ring fits a size 6. Originally retailing $3,250, our price is $1,700. SOLD
“Created during the 1970’s in New York, the LOVE collection remains today an iconic symbol of love that transgresses convention. The screw motifs, ideal oval shape and undeniable elegance establish the piece as a timeless tribute to passionate romance.”***
CARTIER 18K White Gold ‘Love Ring’, Size 6.5
This classic ring is a coveted statement of love ever since its incarnation in the 1970’s. This piece is comprised of solid 18k white gold, and has 6 signature “screw heads” evenly spaced throughout the infinity band. In fabulous, near-mint condition, with original case and box. Size 6.5. Currently retailing for $1,770, our price is $1,200. Cartier asks, “How far would you go for love?”
MABÉ PEARL & OPAL EARRINGS:
18K, MABÉ PEARL, and OPAL Clip Earrings
A truly stunning pair clip earrings: pinkish-grey 12mm round mabé pearls sit in a ridged 18k bezel setting, while 18mm long opal daggers hang from an 18k gold hinge. The opals have a green to blue “play in color” and graduate from 8mm from the top to a narrow 2mm point. These magnificent earrings hang two inches from the ear, and weigh a total of 22.17 grams. With appraisal, these unique earrings are valued at $2,195, our price is $1,100.
“Clifton Nicholson is an American sculptor and jewelry designer who grew up in Indiana where, from an early age, he developed his sculpting skills by carving soap. He graduated in 1967 with a Master’s in jewelry and metal design, with a minor in weaving. Nicholson’s jewelry is known for its use of natural materials, such as feathers, uncut crystal, cowrie shells, petrified beetles and mother-of-pearl, which he combined into sculptural, one-of-a-kind forms.”****
CLIFTON NICHOLSON 88″ Sterling Graduated Ball Necklace with Black Cord – SOLD
Clifton Nicholson pieces are often composed of castings of flora and fauna, but this piece is a sleek and bold strand of graduated sterling balls that hang long; a full 45.5 inches of sterling. Each end of the necklace has Clifton’s signature black woven silk cord with sterling tips that wrap back around neck to create a tie in front between silver strands, creating a total length of 88 inches. A stunningly simple work of art that is not without significance. Priced at $499. SOLD
“Steven Lagos designs unique jewelry with classic techniques to create enduring and sophisticated styles. …It takes hundreds of steps to craft a single Caviar creation. The process begins with a hand-drawn sketch by Steven Lagos.”*****
LAGOS Sterling Granulated ‘Caviar’ Hinged Cuff Bracelet
The “Caviar Collection” is a timeless and signature look, with granulation designed to mimic “caviar”. CHANEL 2012 Navy and Blue Enamel Silver-Tone ‘Bijou’ Brooch – SOLD
Iconic and timeless fashion is Chanel’s design aesthetic, and this pin, while from the 2012 Collection, bears a vintage quality, inspired by baroque brooches of old. A dark silver-tone granulated mosaic setting is crystal-filled, and this piece shines with smooth round and square patches of navy and blue enamel. The center is embellished with Chanel’s signature CC’s. Opulence and high-fashion come together in this lovely accessory. Measuring 2.5 inches in length and width. With original box. Priced at $479. SOLD
HERMÈS 2007 Coral and Red Printed Enamel and Palladium Bangle
Just as intricately and artistically designed as their scarves, the enamel bangles are an easy-to-wear option. This coral and red-colored enamel bracelet has a scroll, stone mosaic and bird motif, reminiscent of Gothic architecture. A black interior contrast the rather light exterior, and palladium trims the frame of the piece. The bracelet is 2.6″ in diameter, 0.75″ in width, and 8″ in circumference. In fantastic condition, with jewelry pouch and box. Originally retailed for $570, our price is $349.
